ALTHENAEUM blends comfort with a quiet melancholy – like gentle sunlight brushing over rugged landscapes. At its heart blooms hand-harvested, sustainably grown Scottish lavender, lending the fragrance its unmistakable soul.

Perfumer Euan McCall describes his inspiration as the meeting of two worlds: childhood days in rural Scotland beneath an ancient oak, surrounded by bluebells and books, and a recent olfactory encounter in Edinburgh’s National Library and archives – where the turning of aged pages carried the same aromatic chord as the summer meadows of his youth.
