Amber Kiso opens like an evening walk through an autumn forest. Notes of cedar and cypress, combined with tree moss and maple, evoke the impression of a mixed woodland in fall: dark green conifers and bare deciduous trees, the ground covered with amber- and copper-colored leaves and moss, while a still gentle incense note begins to spread like a veil of mist.

Patchouli and leather ground the fragrance and lend it a clear, shadowed depth, yet the scent always remains soft. The leather accord is neither harsh nor animalic, but surprisingly smooth and warm.

The incense adds a subtly mystical character, while a hint of iris gives the fragrance an autumnal melancholy. In Amber Kiso, the incense is warm and, together with woods, patchouli, and leather, offers a sense of shelter in the cooling season, while remaining calm and meditative.

For me, Amber Kiso is an ode to autumn: a reflection of nature in transition and, at the same time, an embodiment of autumnal stillness.
