There are moments when nature reveals its full force – when the sky darkens, the wind rises, and the air is charged with a palpable tension. This is the atmosphere captured by KI’LEI, meaning “cloud” in the Yawelmani dialect of Central California. Inspired by the passing of a storm, the fragrance balances freshness with intensity. Like storm-swept air that takes your breath away, KI’LEI merges clarity and depth, brightness and shadow. It is an olfactory spectacle, immersing you in the dynamics of the elements.

Electrifying Freshness and Earthy Depth

The opening of KI’LEI bursts with vitality: green silver fir and sparkling bergamot awaken the senses. At its heart, a contrast unfolds – fern, jasmine sambac, and lavender create a chord of elegance, tenderness, and crisp coolness. The base anchors the composition with intensity: coriander and rosemary lend aromatic warmth, sharpened by the bite of black pepper. Smoky accords and mineral-rich earth conjure the impression of a rain-soaked landscape – powerful, primal, and magnetic. Created in 2024 in collaboration with perfumer Thomas Siedel, KI’LEI reflects the spirit of Source Adage – a house founded in 2015 in Hudson, New York, by Christopher Draghi and Robert Dobay. The brand’s philosophy is to tell stories through scent, inspired by landscapes, cultures, and transitions in nature. In 2024, under the vision Born in New York. reMade in Italy, Source Adage established its creative home in Tuscany, where fragrances and home scents are crafted with artisanal care. KI’LEI embodies this ethos: a gender-neutral fragrance that defies trends, offering instead an authentic, characterful experience infused with the force of a storm.
