CARDUUS is like a quiet call from another era – a composition where wild leaves, aromatic seeds and dried barks merge into a dense, almost tangible aura. From the very first breath, a powerful surge of warm herbs, sparkling seeds and resolute leaves unfolds, guarding the entrance to a secret ritual. The bouquet is dry, deep and marked by a medicinal clarity, interwoven with fiery barks and grounding earthy molecules. Visions arise of long-forgotten ceremonies, where aged herbs and spices are united into an alchemical essence – mysterious, concentrated and imbued with an earthy nobility.

A Scent Like an Unfolding Rite

Between fermented leaves and intricate floral nuances, a subtle sweetness emerges – distilled from delicate treats and crushed roots. CARDUUS carries a palpable vitality: it begins lush, dense and spicy, then sheds its layers to reveal a noble incense accord that feels weightless and airy. This metamorphosis is its soul – the transformation from earthy strength to pure, elevated transparency.

The Dance of Contrasts

In the top notes, chamomile, Bengal pepper, honey, clary sage, marjoram and a hint of marine sea urchin blend into a vivid opening. The heart reveals myrtle, rose absolute, sainfoin, clove bud, hart’s tongue fern and tuberose – a complex, almost botanical narrative. The base grounds the fragrance in musk thistle, heliotrope, tormentil root, mahogany, cocoa absolute, tobacco, meum, suede and cherry wood. Particularly the sainfoin – fresh, herbal and subtly floral – lends CARDUUS its unmistakable green elegance.
