Fischersund NO. 23 Eau de Parfum is the very first and most beloved fragrance of the Icelandic house Fischersund. Created by Jón Þór “Jónsi” Birgisson, lead singer of Sigur Rós, together with his family, it captures the spirit of Reykjavík’s old harbor – a place of ships, industry, and salt-heavy air. Inspired by Jónsi’s memories of working with his father on vessels docked by the shore, this fragrance embodies nostalgia, tradition, and the raw poetry of life by the sea.

It evokes oil-stained hands, the tang of salty air mingled with pipe tobacco, and the industrial hum of a working port. NO. 23 is not just worn – it is lived, like stepping back into a memory suspended between sea and smoke.

Smoke, wood, and salt

The fragrance opens with spicy sweetness from anise and the warmth of black pepper, sparking an immediate sense of vitality. Soon, smoky birch tar and the scent of tarred wood rise, blended with fresh-cut grass and tobacco leaves.
