Fragrances with character – uncompromisingly exceptional
There are perfumes that aim to please. And there are perfumes that aim to challenge, inspire, and create new olfactory worlds. SOURCE ADAGE belongs to the second category. The independent brand, founded by Christopher Draghi and Robert Dobay, creates extraordinary works of art rather than compromises. Their fragrance compositions defy fleeting trends and instead focus on character, depth, and a tangible attention to detail that is characterized by originality and wearability. Inspired by pristine landscapes, they combine natural raw materials with avant-garde design – for fragrance lovers seeking the extraordinary. Before the two founders discovered their passion for fragrance and launched SOURCE ADAGE , they worked for years as creative directors and brand designers.

"We define luxury as the freedom to create without constraints. It has always been our method to create for ourselves, not for trends. Uncompromising on our vision has resulted in what we believe to be exceptional products." – Robert Dobay
From New York to Tuscany
Since the debut of SOURCE ADAGE, Christopher and Robert's passion for fragrance has grown, as has their unique product offering. The striking fragrance compositions of the complex unisex fragrances, uncompromising quality, and sophisticated packaging design have become a hallmark of the brand and are highly sought after by a loyal customer base, the press, and industry insiders alike. Originally founded in Hudson, New York, Source Adage relocated its fragrance studio to Tuscany in 2024. There, in a small coastal village overlooking the Mediterranean, the founders now work with local artisans to produce and bottle the coveted fragrances for the European market. Their goal: luxury as freedom, to promote the uncompromising expression of one's own vision.
Four signature fragrances from Source Adage
Each creation is inspired by the stunning landscapes of different destinations and reflects their character in olfactory form. The names come from indigenous languages, honoring the origin of their inspiration.
Aka'ula - Glowing energy of Hawaii
The name means "red shadow" in Hawaiian. Aka'ula captures the intensity of a volcanic sunset: fresh ginger, vetiver, and pineapple leaf open the fragrance, while oud, vanilla, and smoky notes provide sensual depth. A dramatic, energetic fragrance inspired by the mystical and powerful elements of Hawaiian nature.
Aétai – Floral sensuality meets woody warmth
Aétai means "on both sides"—fitting for a fragrance that masterfully showcases the duality of elegant floral notes with warm, woody accents. Rose geranium and jasmine meet fennel and carnation, while ambergris, frankincense, and sandalwood form a warm, long-lasting base.
C'i'aan – A Journey to Alaska
C'i'aan is a tribute to the pristine Alaskan wilderness—from the earthy depths of centuries-old forests to the crystal-clear freshness of ice-cold fjords. Juniper, mint, and spruce lend a cool freshness reminiscent of icy fjords, while apple, cedar, and amber add depth and a woody, warm finish.
Ki'lei – Storm- Tossed Clouds
Ki'lei means "cloud" in the Yawelmani language and captures the atmosphere of a passing storm. White fir and bergamot provide a fresh opening, while fern, lavender, and jasmine unfold an earthy note. The interplay of smoky notes and mineral earth evokes gathering storm clouds.
