Atelier PMP – Perfume with punk, pathos and philosophy
How two free spirits from Hamburg are turning the niche market upside down.
Welcome to Hamburg, to St. Pauli – where perfume not only smells good, but also has attitude. Atelier PMP is unlike any other perfume brand. It's loud, uncomfortable, queer, and highly creative. Behind it are two minds that could hardly be more different – and that's precisely why they complement each other perfectly: Daniel Plettenberg , a marketing wizard with a penchant for performance thinking, and Stefanie Mayr , a fashion and conceptual artist with a flair for radical beauty. Together, they launched a brand in 2012 that challenges the fragrance market – with brains, humor, and attitude.

Stefanie Mayr – The aesthete with the clear edge
Stefanie originally comes from the fashion world. Creative concepts, stylistic breaks, and clear lines define her thinking. She worked for many years as a designer before devoting herself to olfactory expression with Atelier PMP. Her passion lies in straddling the boundaries between art and commerce. She is the one who conceives the visual narrative behind every fragrance – from the bottle to the story. Together with Daniel, she developed the claim that embodies everything that defines PMP: "No appearance. Only being."
Daniel Plettenberg – The strategist with substance
Daniel is a market researcher, philosopher, and drag performer. He has been active in brand and trend analysis for decades. He founded VALOR Research & Consulting in 2002 and advises international companies on attitudes, change, and relevance. But he is more than a consultant: he is a performer, LGBTIQ activist, talk show host, and pop thinker. For him, PMP is an expression of his conviction that a fragrance must not just smell, but also say something. Clearly and loudly. He lives what he preaches: diversity, authenticity, and a touch of punk.
The brand – between subversion, self-care and St. Pauli
Founded in Hamburg, developed in Grasse, Atelier PMP's fragrance collections are created in collaboration with perfumers such as Mark Buxton , Scott Moroschan , and David Chieze . Each fragrance is a statement, each product a counterpoint to the watered-down mainstream. PMP stands for radical independence, subversion, self-care, and the St. Pauli spirit.

Standing today – Not a luxury, but a position
Atelier PMP has made a name for itself internationally – not through bling, but through relevance . The brand is listed in concept stores from Paris to Tokyo, remaining true to its Hamburg DNA. Not a PR show, but real stories. Not models, but people. Wearing PMP means taking a stand.

Why Atelier PMP and scent amor are made for each other
When attitude meets passion, magic happens. Atelier PMP stands for perfume as a position – rebellious, queer, deliberately edgy. scent amor is far more than a fragrance platform: It is a curated refuge for character, depth, and artistic truth. And behind it all stands Georg R. Wuchsa – fragrance aesthete, curator, and visionary. With a keen sense for authenticity, a joy for friction, and an uncompromising love of olfactory art, he creates spaces for brands that have something to say.
What connects Atelier PMP and scent amor isn't a collaboration—it's a shared attitude. We share a love for the unconventional, the authentic, the distinctive. Where others smooth out edges, we reveal them. Where others perfume, we tell stories. Atelier PMP finds not only a home in scent amor, but a counterpart that understands, celebrates, and excels. Together, we demonstrate: fragrance is not an accessory. Fragrance is a message. And Georg R. Wuchsa ensures that this message is heard. Clearly. Loudly. And with style.
Real talk: Atelier PMP is polarizing. Not everyone likes it when perfume gets political. But that's precisely the point. PMP doesn't want to please everyone. It's for those who have something to say. And who like to express it with fragrance.
