Behind the Fragrance
Cristian Cavagna – Regina Vergine Extrait de Parfum
Regina Vergine – Tuberose in royal grace
A fragrance like a coronation. With Regina Vergine Extrait de Parfum, Cristian Cavagna elevates tuberose to the realm of the iconic. As the sixth chapter in his celebrated collection La Tuberosa secondo me, this perfume unfolds like a ritual of light, bloom, and dignity.
Created in close collaboration with perfumer Arturetto Landi, this composition merges floral opulence with balsamic depth and aristocratic elegance – a unisex fragrance for those with presence, substance, and refined style.
The Opening – Light on green silk
Banana leaf, bergamot, and ginger open with a vibrant freshness – like sunlight on damp silk. This luminous start sets the stage for the composition’s heart.
The Heart – Bloom, warmth, radiance
At the core: tuberose in its most lavish form, supported by jacinthe (hyacinth) and the warm, almost skin-like sweetness of beeswax. A heart that holds nothing back – golden, lush, simultaneously feminine and masculine. An olfactory portrait of a crowned figure.
The Base – Gentle gravity
Benzoin lends a warm resinous glow, guaiac wood grounds with dry richness, and vanilla adds a touch of elegant sweetness. The high concentration as an Extrait de Parfum makes Regina Vergine not only long-lasting but radiant – a scent that stays like a gaze that never looks away.
The man behind the crown
Cristian Cavagna, born in 1970 in Italy, is a writer, collector, and a central figure in contemporary perfume culture. As a long-standing fragrance critic, curator, and evaluator at the Italian Perfume Academy, he blends deep knowledge with artistic vision.
With La Tuberosa secondo me, he created a collection devoted entirely to tuberose – interpreted in seven complex, contrasting expressions: salty, creamy, metallic, transparent. Regina Vergine is its most majestic chapter.
Flacon & Design – The form of the idea
The bottles are round, organic, inspired by Art Deco and shaped as a symbol of origin and perfection. The label of Regina Vergine, illustrated by young artists, evokes a modern icon – between pop art and sacred reverence.
