OH MY DEER! is a fragrance like a backward glance – fleeting, provocative, and darkly magnetic. Spyros Drosopoulos, perfumer and founder of Baruti, plays with contrasts: between clarity and shadow, control and surrender. The name itself is a pun – echoing both childlike surprise (“Oh my dear!”) and primal instinct (“Oh my deer”). What begins in innocence unfolds into something hot-blooded and unapologetically sensual. You’re not asked if you're ready – you're drawn in.

A dance of light, metal and skin

The opening sparkles with black pepper, Szechuan pepper, and aldehydes – sharp, crackling, like electricity on bare skin. But beneath the brightness lies another rhythm. At the heart, a cool metallic accord collides with the delicate sweetness of lily of the valley – pure, distant, yet oddly seductive. Then, slowly, the darkness sets in: animalic notes, incense, musk, amber, and vanilla create a warm, raw sensuality that clings to the skin. Desire here doesn’t smell like perfume – it smells like proximity.

Spyros Drosopoulos, a former neuroscientist turned perfumer, approaches scent as a language rather than a luxury. His label Baruti – Greek for “gunpowder” – stands for intensity, creativity and radical sincerity.
