A perfumer born into the world of essences
Luca Maffei did not enter the world of fragrance by accident. He grew up in Italy in a family where essences, raw materials and perfume culture were part of everyday life. After classical and economic studies, Luca Maffei began his professional path in 2007 as an assistant perfumer in the family company. A decisive step followed in Grasse, where he trained with Françoise Marin, former director of the prestigious Roure / Givaudan perfumery school. There he studied raw materials, accords, historical compositions and the Jean Carles method – a discipline based on clarity, comparison and precise olfactory analysis.
Atelier Fragranze Milano – Milan as a creative laboratory
In 2011, Luca Maffei founded Atelier Fragranze Milano together with his father Marco Maffei.
