MENDITTOROSA is an independent Italian perfume house that understands fragrance not as a fashion accessory, but as an expression of emotion, memory, spirituality, and personal perception. The brand was founded in 2012 by Stefania Squeglia, who to this day conceptually shapes all creations and stands as the creative soul behind the house.

The idea for MENDITTOROSA arose from a personal turning point in Squeglia's life and her intense connection to Stromboli. The volcano became for her a symbol of change, energy, and new beginnings. From this experience, she developed the concept of Odori d’Anima – Scents of the Soul. Each fragrance is intended to make visible an inner state, a memory, or a symbolic idea – not through words, but through scent.

Precisely for this reason, MENDITTOROSA niche fragrances are not created according to classic market mechanisms. The brand does not follow short-term trends and does not develop collections based on gender or target group. Instead, extraordinary unisex niche perfumes and extraits de parfum are created, which are deliberately composed to be individual, complex, and often surprising.

For the olfactory realization, Stefania Squeglia collaborates with renowned perfumers. Among the most important are Amélie Bourgeois and Anne-Sophie Behaghel from the Parisian fragrance studio Flair, as well as Luca Maffei and Cristiano Canali. Squeglia does not provide a classic fragrance brief, but rather a story, an emotion, a symbol, or an abstract idea. The perfumer then translates this concept into an individual olfactive language.

For example, MENDITTOROSA LE MAT Extrait de Parfum was created, composed by Anne-Sophie Behaghel. Rose, immortelle, patchouli, spices, and woods form a powerful, almost mystical scent, inspired by the archetypal wanderer of the Tarot. NETTUNO Extrait de Parfum by Amélie Bourgeois combines floral, spicy, mineral, and aquatic facets into an unusual interpretation of Neptune and the journey into the unknown.

With MAUNA Extrait de Parfum, created together with Cristiano Canali, Mendittorosa, on the other hand, dedicates itself to silence. Sandalwood, frankincense, spices, and balsamic notes create a calm, meditative effect. SOGNO REALE, also by Amélie Bourgeois, combines maritime accords, tuberose, patchouli, olibanum, and woods into a dreamlike composition between sea, volcano, and memory.

Materials such as wood, metal, stone, glass, and ceramic play a central role. Many components are crafted by Italian artists and artisans, giving the creations a deliberately handcrafted and individual character.

The transparent design of the bottles also follows this philosophy: the natural color of the perfume remains visible. Plastic, standardized luxury staging, and unnecessary packaging, on the other hand, play hardly any role at Mendittorosa. Instead, materiality, authenticity, and artisanal quality are paramount.
