D:SOL MMXVI SUMMER COLLECTION Eau de Parfum
A summer in Mallorca – between light, skin and memory
You close your eyes. The air smells of lemon peel, lavender, and warm stone. It's this moment between light and stillness, between water and wind – that cannot be captured, but can be preserved through fragrance. This is precisely the concept of D:SOL MMXVI – an independent niche brand that translates the Mediterranean summer into a clear, minimalist fragrance universe. The fragrances are vegan, cruelty-free, and combine sustainability with uncompromising craftsmanship.

D:SOL was founded in 2016 by Dennis K. Werner , a seasoned creative director with over two decades of experience in the international beauty and advertising industries. His life between Berlin and Mallorca inspired him to create a label that combines both worlds: the creative energy of the city and the tranquility of nature. "Mallorca is the juice - memory lane under the sun. Berlin stands for style, art, and collective energy. Reduced on the outside, warm and sunny on the inside," is how he describes his philosophy. The result is a collection of modern, long-lasting Extrait de Parfums that are worn as unisex fragrances - clearly composed and sensual at the same time.

Each fragrance is produced in Grasse, packaged in Germany, and bottled in Spain. The compositions are the work of Marie Urban Le Febvre , a Berlin-based perfumer, graduate of ISIPCA (Versailles), and founder of Urban Scents. Her style is precise, elegant, and emotional—ideal for this contemporary form of slow perfumery .
D:SOL's four main fragrances are inspired by the flow of a summer day in Mallorca—from sunrise to night. Herbes Eau de Parfum is a green, citrusy morning greeting: with mint, orange, star anise, orange blossom, and a soft woody musk base. A fresh niche fragrance for summer that brings clarity and calm to the skin.
Tesoro Eau de Parfum unfolds at midday: juicy grapefruit, bitter orange, and bergamot meet petitgrain, jasmine, and a base of leather, vetiver, and white musk. This citrus-leathery fragrance for women and men is a tribute to light and luxury—ideal for those seeking exclusive summer perfumes with depth.
The golden hour begins with Terram Eau de Parfum . Coriander, pink peppercorn, galbanum, and rockrose form a spicy-earthy composition anchored by patchouli and vetiver. A long-lasting extrait de parfum that perfectly combines closeness to nature and elegance.
As night falls, Sombra Eau de Parfum emerges: Leather, vanilla, musk, and a subtle citrus note blend into a skin-tapping, sensual fragrance with a dark aura. Subtle yet captivating—a scent that lingers without being overpowering.
The entire collection can be experienced in the D:SOL Discovery Set – a perfect opportunity to discover your personal favorite and find your summer fragrance. Whether as an introduction to the world of minimalist niche fragrance art or as a daily companion: these fragrances are an invitation to reduction – without sacrifice.

Cistus – The silent power of rockrose
With the new Oud Collection , D:SOL expands its repertoire with a profound, balsamic-smoky chapter: Cistus Eau de Parfum , composed by French perfumer Delphine Thierry , ISIPCA graduate and founder of Inspiration Libre . Cistus celebrates the aromatic strength of the rockrose—a plant rooted in sun-baked earth yet blooming.
The fragrance CISTUS opens with fresh bergamot, artemisia, geranium, and buchu. The heart unfolds with Turkish rose absolute, elemi, and genuine cistus oil, supported by a base of labdanum, frankincense, ambergris, and papyrus. This fragrance architecture is simultaneously earthy and spiritual, warm, resinous, and subtly smoky. Cistus is not a loud oud—it is a fragrance of deep intimacy. It whispers of ancient resin, Mediterranean rituals, and a longing for a sense of belonging.
An oud fragrance for those who appreciate quietness. And a worthy counterpoint to the citrus clarity of daytime fragrances.

Tips for using fragrances in summer – enjoy responsibly!
Even though the D:SOL MMXVI summer fragrances exude lightness, light, and Mediterranean longing, special care is required when using them in midsummer: Many natural fragrance oils—such as those from citrus fruits or orange blossoms —contain components that, when combined with direct sunlight, can trigger what's known as phototoxicity . This means that, when exposed to strong UV light, they can cause skin irritation or pigment changes, especially on light-sensitive areas such as the neck, décolleté, or arms.

Hence our summer tip: Apply your favorite fragrances to textiles, in your hair, or on less exposed areas of your skin —for example, behind your ears, on your back, or on the lining of jackets and shirts. This way, the effect unfolds elegantly and safely. Alternatively, you can create a gentle cloud of fragrance with a puff of air and then walk through it. This way, the summer scent remains a pleasure—risk-free .
We wish you wonderful summer days with fantastic niche fragrances that are perfect for the warm season.
