The Fiori di Mare scented candle by Perris Portofino from the exclusive Portofino collection is designed to bring the essence of the Italian Riviera into the home. With a weight of 200 g, this candle offers a long burning time and fills the room with a fragrance reminiscent of the blooming landscape of the Portofino coast.
The correct handling of high-quality scented candles not only ensures a long burning time, but also optimal fragrance development. When first used, the candle should burn for at least two to three hours so that the entire surface melts evenly. This prevents a tunnel from forming and the candle from burning unevenly later on. Regular maintenance of the wick is just as important. It should be shortened to around five millimetres before each lighting to ensure a clean and stable flame. A wick that is too long can cause the candle to soot or the wax to melt too quickly.
To ensure that the scented candle can develop its full effect, it should be placed on a heat-resistant, level surface away from flammable materials and draughts. Constant air movement can not only lead to irregular burning, but can also impair the fragrance effect.
