By chance, he took the place of a student who had dropped out of perfumery school. Conversations with masters like Jean Amic, Jean-Louis Sieuzac, and Pierre Bourdon convinced him to give it a try. He spent three years in Grasse, then completed his studies in Paris, launching a career that led to icons such as Portrait of a Lady and Carnal Flower.
