The perfumers of Les Ambres by Houbigant are Luca Maffei and Antoine Lie.

Luca Maffei is an Italian perfumer known for his creations in niche perfumery. He comes from a family with deep roots in the fragrance world and began his career in the family company after completing his studies. Luca Maffei worked internationally, including in Germany and New York, before joining the Symrise family and returning to Paris after 15 years abroad. In 2011, he and his father founded Atelier Fragranze Milano, a company specialising in exclusive fragrances. He has worked for renowned brands such as Masque Milano and Laboratorio Olfattivo and has received several awards, including the Art and Olfaction Award. Luca Maffei appreciates the freedom of niche perfumery, which allows him to develop creative and risky fragrances. His work is seen as a modern interpretation of traditional Italian perfumery, characterised by balance and harmony of the fragrance components.

Antoine Lie is a French perfumer known for his creative and unconventional approach. Born in Strasbourg, he studied in Grasse at the Givaudan Perfume Institute. He worked for big names such as Givaudan and Takasago before founding his own company, ALOE. Antoine Lie often combines unusual materials to create unique fragrances and has worked for brands such as Etat Libre d'Orange and Nu Be. His best-known creations include ‘Armani Code’ and ‘Versace Crystal Noir’.

His distinctive style and penchant for artistic freedom have earned him recognition and respect in the industry, and he has been recognised as one of the world's leading fragrance designers.
