Mathieu Nardin

Mathieu Nardin's stories always begin with an ingredient. His vocation was born in the fields of Grasse. As the grandson of rose, jasmine and verbena growers, his first olfactory memories were born in contact with them.

There are paths that seem obvious. Mathieu never thought of working in a profession other than perfumery. After completing a master's degree in perfumery at the ISIPCA, he became a perfumer at Robertet in 2009, first in Grasse and then in New York in 2013. In 2018, he joined the MANE creative team.

Mathieu got to know and appreciate the raw materials before creating his compositions. He continues to cultivate a deep love for flowers, citrus fruits and natural woods. His creative approach often comes directly from the ingredients themselves, which he likes to combine, transform and reinvent. He expresses his creativity through exceptional perfumery as well as selective and responsible perfumery. Today, he tells his stories through perfume.

As a member of a new generation of perfumers combining traditional techniques and materials with the latest innovations, Mathieu Nardin has created Jacquard for Etro, Iris de Champs for Houbigant and Blue for Kenneth Cole.

His latest project was a collaboration with the British perfume house Miller Harris, where he first created Tea Tonique and Rose Silence before composing the incredible Vetiver Insolent.
