Roots & formation

Part of France’s new perfumery wave, Clément Marx moved from formulation/R&D (incl. Dior) to Robertet in 2015, trained in-house (with Jean-François Latty and Michel Almairac), became a Junior Perfumer in New York in 2019 and a Perfumer in 2021. His approach: analytical, material-truthful, with clean axes and wearable texture.

Signature: structure, contrast, skin feel

Expect bright citrus and spice signals anchored by iris, woods and modern ambers—shapes that project with poise rather than volume. Readability on skin is key: orderly development, defined sillage, no ornamental noise. Public listings chart a consistent range from gourmand warmth to cool, graphic builds.

Works & collaborations

Credits span niche to heritage: 502 Iris Cartagena (Extrait 2024, EdP 2025) for Bon Parfumeur; Cuir de Venise for Boucheron; Tempting Rose for Jimmy Choo; Glorious Indigo for Lalique; Dirty Chai for Heretic Parfum; ScentXme for Kierin NYC; plus a Nomad Noé trio and indie work with Belnu (Rose Steady, Bergamot Brio).

Ethos

“The perfumer is a craftsman”: discipline, fidelity to formula, and creative latitude. That balance explains the calm pulse of his scents—niche perfumes with substance, built for daily wear yet memorable in the dry-down.
