Christian Carbonnel, also known as Chris Maurice, is an outstanding perfumer and director of Carbonnel S.A., one of the largest and most renowned fragrance conglomerates in Spain. He comes from the most famous family of perfumers in Spain and grew up in the perfume industry. Through his work, he has had the opportunity to work for successful brands in Europe and the Middle East and to live out his passion for high-quality perfumery.
The history of the Carbonnel family goes back almost a century, to 1925, when Christian Carbonnel's grandfather founded the company. The company was later continued and expanded by his father. Christian Carbonnel himself was trained in the in-house laboratory, surrounded by a talented group of perfumers and under the guidance of his father. He frequently travels the world to create new fragrances, new smells and new sensations.
Carbonnel S.A. employs 50 people, including 17 perfumers. The company has invested heavily in high-tech equipment over the last ten years to modernize the manufacturing process and make it more efficient. A new robot called Roxane, which can precisely mix up to 100 ingredients, is one example of this technologization. The company emphasizes that its size is more a matter of space and, as a family business, prefers to concentrate all operations in one place in order to control quality.
In addition to his work at Carbonnel S.A., Christian Carbonnel is known for his collaborations with well-known brands and for creating exceptional fragrances such as Xerjoff More Than Words, Nishane Nefs and Xerjoff Alexandria II and Xerjoff Accento Overdose.
He has dedicated his career to working with refined and exceptional fragrances that reflect his image of perfumery.
