Andreas Wilhelm

Andreas Wilhelm's innovation and creativity make him an award-winning perfumer. He has been in the industry for over 18 years, during which time he has been able to refine and expand his skills.

He has created perfumes for Sarah Baker and Xerjoff, among others, but also devotes himself to other fragrance-focused activities, such as creating scents for the annual Scent Cinema and the performance of street art that used a ventilator to tell a scent story.

Wilhelm's creativity goes beyond the conventional, as evidenced by his unique collection called "perfume.sucks". This line pokes fun at classic industry norms and has an open-source formula printed on each bottle, encouraging transparency and experimentation.

Wilhelm's contribution to the perfume industry is also marked by his creation of Charade, an evocative fragrance inspired by the 1950s and 60s. The perfume is characterized by its well-known scents such as tuberose, leather and a chypre accord, which are characteristic of the era.

It is precisely his many years of experience that make him consciously push the boundaries. His own creativity and his courage to go down different paths open up new dimensions for him. Andreas Wilhelm is a free spirit; he appreciates life, laughter, but above all he is a perfumer - and he does so with dedication and passion! In 2008 he founded his own studio, Wilhelm Perfume, in order to be able to fully pursue his passion for fragrances. Today, Andreas' professional know-how and creative fragrance visions can be felt in each of his projects.

As an expert in his craft, he has already received several awards. In 2018 he won the Swiss Fragrance Foundation Award FiFi with Gisada Donna, one of the most important awards in the industry. Another followed in 2024: the Art & Olfaction Award in the Independent Category for his creation Fuchsrot for Bodé Studio. An accolade in the world of perfumery.

Andrea's fragrance journey began in 1993 at Givaudan AG in Dübendorf, when he became infected with organic syntheses in basic perfumery research as part of his training as a chemical laboratory technician. Fascinated by smells and their effects from the beginning, his dream came true in 1999 when he began his training as a perfumer at Luzi AG.

After a few years in the industry, Andreas dared to take the step to realize his own vision in dealing with fragrances. As a freelance perfumer, he worked for various companies, including Seluz in Istanbul, Weleda in Arlesheim, Sensient Fragrances in Granada, Eurofragance in Barcelona and Dubai. Finally, he used his expertise as an AI perfume trainer for Scentronix in Breda, the Netherlands. The lockdown brought Andreas to Zurich, where he now enjoys the freedom to realize his projects from there. Regardless of whether the raw materials are of natural origin or synthetic, he sees the perfumer's palette as an instrument that tells stories, expresses melodies and takes us on journeys. Andreas invites you to immerse yourself in his world of aromas and notes and to write history with his fragrances. A master of his craft who uses the magic of scents to create unique olfactory experiences.
