eShave
êShave was founded in 1996 by Danielle Malka under the motto: ‘If you look good, you feel good.’ The founding idea came to her when she was working as a marketing consultant for a renowned British grooming company and learnt about the specific problems of sensitive, shaved skin during her visits to barber shops in London. This gave her the motivation to develop a special skincare line - êShave was born.
This care line is characterised by unique fragrances, textures and high-quality ingredients and has revolutionised the traditional wet shaving concept. To this day, êShave stands for a modern brand that delivers effective results. Since its inception, êShave has focussed on minimal packaging and was one of the first to introduce a vegan, plant-based formula.
The products are free from parabens, sulphates, SLES and SLS and are continuously improved with the latest scientific findings.
SLES (Sodium Laureth Sulfate) and SLS (Sodium Lauryl Sulfate) are surfactants and detergents used in many cosmetic and household products. They are particularly well known for being included in products to create foam and effectively remove grease and dirt.
Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS) is the stronger of the two surfactants and can cause skin irritation or dryness in some people, especially when used frequently or in high concentrations. Sodium Laureth Sulfate (SLES) is an ethoxylated version of SLS and is considered milder. It is often considered to be gentler on the skin as it is less irritating.
However, both substances have been criticised as they can cause skin irritation in sensitive individuals and there are concerns about long-term health effects. For this reason, êShave avoids these ingredients.
êShave develops shaving products that meet modern demands for healthy, high-quality ingredients and environmental awareness.
