Josh Meyer is the founder and perfumer behind Imaginary Authors, an innovative and creative niche fragrance brand.

Josh Meyer founded Imaginary Authors with the vision of creating fragrances that can be told as olfactory stories. Each creation is inspired by a fictional narrative, giving the fragrance a unique and narrative quality.

Meyer takes an unconventional approach to perfumery. His fragrances are often bold and experimental, and he is not afraid to use unusual and unexpected notes. His philosophy is based on the fact that fragrances can convey experiences and stories that stimulate the imagination. When developing a new fragrance, Josh Meyer often starts with a story or a fictional character that serves as his inspiration. 

Josh Meyer had no traditional background in perfumery or formal training in the field. Instead, he started out as a self-taught perfumer, delving deeply into the art of perfume making. He gained knowledge through self-study, experimentation and trying out different fragrance compositions. Meyer spent a lot of time experimenting with different fragrances and learning how they interact with each other.

“Memoirs of a Trespasser”: 

Inspired by a fictional adventure in Madagascar, this fragrance contains notes of vanilla, myrrh and oak. 

“Yesterday Haze”: 

A story of forbidden love and secrets, with notes of fig, iris and tonka bean.
