Isabelle Doyen is a French perfumer known for her exceptional talent in creating unique and innovative fragrances. She was born in France, but spent much of her childhood in Tahiti, where her scientific father sparked her love for exotic scents and tropical flowers.

Isabelle Doyen pursued her passion for perfumery by enrolling at the ISIPCA, where she graduated in 1982. After graduating, she began working as an independent perfumer, collaborating with her former perfumery professor, Monique Schlienger, in the field of fragrance creation.

In 1985, Isabelle Doyen met Annick Goutal, which marked the beginning of a long and fruitful partnership. The two signed most of the popular Annick Goutal fragrances, including Eau d'Hadrien and Petite Chérie. After Goutal's death, Doyen remained with the brand and collaborated with Goutal's daughter Camille.

In addition to her work with Annick Goutal, Isabelle Doyen is also one of the founding members of the Swiss brand Les Nez, where she has created some of her most inspired and groundbreaking fragrances, such as the Turtle Vetiver series.

Isabelle Doyen has been recognized throughout her career for her exceptional talent and creativity. She is known for her use of unconventional ingredients and her ability to create fragrances that evoke a variety of emotions and experiences.

A sense of tenderness and humanity characterizes Isabelle Doyen's olfactory signature, and she is known for her ability to create fragrances that unravel and intrigue without ever becoming overpowering. Her favorite materials include rose essence, tarragon, galbanum, black currant, hedione and evernyl.

In addition to her work as a perfumer, Isabelle Doyen is also a dedicated teacher. She was responsible for the olfactory education of students at the ISIPCA and advises aspiring perfumers to be humble, determined, curious and sponges for all forms of beauty and literature.
