Antonio Alessandria was born on March 30, 1971 in Catania, Sicily. His special affinity for sensory perception and the aesthetic arts was already apparent in his early childhood. He spent his formative years between the creative hustle and bustle of his mother's fashion studio and his sister's inspiring piano music. This environment nurtured his love of beauty in all its forms, be it through fashion, music or the subtle nuances of fragrance.
Although his heart was set on the arts, Antonio Alessandria initially decided to study science and obtained a degree in electrical engineering. After his studies, he entered the world of the semiconductor industry and began a promising career with a large company.
Nevertheless, his early enthusiasm for the world of fragrances never left him. Even as a child, he was fascinated by the art of perfumery and when he finally came into contact with the world of artistic perfumery, his passion was rekindled. This revelation inspired him to pursue professional training in perfumery. He graduated from renowned schools such as Mouillettes and Co. in Italy and Cinquième Sens in Paris and deepened his knowledge of perfume formulation with the support of independent, established perfumers.
Driven by the desire to share his love for exquisite perfumes with others, Antonio Alessandria embarked on a new adventure: opening his own perfume store in his hometown of Catania.
Boudoir 36 opened on October 31, 2005 and quickly became a go-to place for lovers of art perfumery. In less than a decade, the store under the management of Antonio Alessandria gained national and international recognition for its knowledge and expertise in the world of fragrances.
